Santiago is one of the Ancients upon the earth, leader of all the damned and possessor of the shadow. The greatest danger of this Ancient is nothingness, which consists of stripping living beings of the possibility of dying, absorbing both their body and spirit into an eternal cloak of darkness within which they will become their own executioners for the rest of existence. Santiago feeds on the suffering that exists in nothingness.
When Santiago lived with Lilith, about 8,000 years ago, he built the city of Enoch in the land of Nod, there he erected a temple in her honor and raised three monumental gates representing his union with each lineage. These would later be replicated by Nebuchadnezzar II as the Ishtar Gate.
